  • Meeting called to order at 6:10 PM. Meeting conducted at Dan’s Carriage Inn, 1065 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, RI
  • 28 People in attendance: Linda Musch, Brett Mayette, Megan Otto, Steve Renshaw, Glendaliz Cotto, Nina Smith-Cotto, Natasha Dewery, Jamie Dwyer, Kyle Pulver, John Rapoza, Kannika Chap, Geoffrey Lanez, Giselle Lanez, Marina Lanez, George Lanez, Santos Nieves, Jesus Olando, Dimitoi Demepaulos, Tony Le, Joshua Berman, Keri Anderson, Noah Chipis, Joseph Leonardi, Paul Martin, Ray McCue, Rolando Robledo, Dick Wood, and Don Mead

  • Attendee’s Introductions

 

      • New Business:
    • Rolando opened the meeting by first announcing that the Chef Connect Conference in Charlotte, NC was a great experience, many inspirational speeches, especially the lecture from Klauss ?, the founder and CEO of Noma, a renowned restaurant in Denmark.
    • Rolando honored Chef Ray McCue for receiving the World Chef Certified Master Chef designation and Chef Joseph Leonardi for achieving the ACF Certified Master Chef designation.
    • Kyle Pulver from Vollrath was introduced as a new Associate member.
    • Next meeting, March 26th at 6:00 pm, Pub 6t5 in New Bedford. This is a make-up meeting.
    • April 15th is the Chef of the Year Dinner at Gurney’s in Newport. $50.00 per person.
    • May 14th Fundraiser dinner at the Somerset Club in Boston to benefit the Culinary Team. Chapter members receive a discount of $10.00 per ticket. George purchased a table to be raffled at the dinner. Raffle tickets will be sold at the Chef of the Year Dinner, April 15th and the winner will be drawn at the fundraiser May 14th.

 

  • Linda introduced our first guest speaker, Brett Mayette of “Conscious Cuisine” who spoke about his business of foraging and consuming highly nutritious natural greens.   • The second quest speaker was Chef Geoffrey Lanez of the Somerset Club in Boston who gave a inspirational and passionate talk about his journey of becoming a Chef and significantly, becoming a member of the Culinary Team representing the United States
  • Next Meeting: March 26th, 6:00 PM at Pub 6t5, 736 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA
