Hello All Chapter Members and Friends, This past weekend I attended the 2017 NYC ChefConnect held in New York City at the Hilton Midtown. The event was filled with great food, education seminars, networking and competitions. I am very happy to report that our Chapter and our members were recognized and awarded for their hard work and dedication. Linda Musch CCE, AAC was awarded the 2017 ACF Northeast Chef Educator of the year, Michael Pillarella CEC was awarded the 2017 ACF Northeast Chef of the Year, and the ACF Rhode Island Chapter was awarded the 2017 Northeast Chapter Achievement Award. Congratulations to everyone! I would like to thank the NY Big Apple Chapter and the NY Long Island Chapter for their hard work and hospitality during the conference. By now everyone should have received email correspondence for the candidates running for national office. Please take a minute to read the vision of the candidates and remember to vote when it is time, if anyone has any questions regarding this please feel free to contact me. Our next meeting is set for Monday March 13th at Basta Restaurant, 2195 Broad St. Cranston RI. 02910. Snap Chef will be hosting this meeting who is one of our new associate members.
